The Cinco De Mayo colorway is the theme of Jordan Brand with their release of 2 new models. Bot models would be released on May 5 during the Mexican Independence Day. For those who don’t know 4,000 Mexican soldiers smashed the French and traitor Mexican army of 8,000 at Puebla, Mexico, 100 miles east of Mexico City on the morning of May 5, 1862. It’s good for the brand to release such a shoe.

The fashion world is making a major push toward subdued colours and textures as a sort of mirror reflecting the global financial crisis. Reebok is throwing that sort of caution to the wind with these new Pump Omni Lites. Two new pairs in bright colours are perfect for spring, but they’re just for kids and ladies. Nike has just introduced their newest innovative footwear offering, the Nike SFB, the lightest tactical boot ever. Four years ago the Innovation Kitchen at Nike was given the task of creating a boot that needed to meet the needs of first-response teams and high-speed operators who are elite athletes in their own right who needed a product that would perform. Tobie Hatfield, Nike Innovation Manager says, “Throughout the evolution of this product, it also became very clear that America’s elite military operators and first responders share similarities with the world’s top tier athletes.”
The SFB pays homage to it’s co-founder, Bill Bowerman, who before becoming a track coach at the University of Oregon was a founding member of the 10th Mountain Division of the United States Army.
The SFB features some of the most innovative technologies used at Nike including a Natural Motion Cushioning, Sticky Rubber forefoot lugs, a Speed Lacing System made of 550 cord run through metal speed-lacing eyelets keep the foot securely locked down, in addition to a number of other features that makes this boot the lightest, fastest, natural motion boot ever produced.

Emmanuelabor has used the California state flag as inspiration for multiple custom sneakers. The designer showed why sneaker fans love his shoes with the latest version of the Cali Nike Dunks. These sneakers were found at Emmanuelabor’s Nike Talk post linked here.
The tongue features a replica of the California flag complete with bear and the words “California Republic.” Emmanuelabor recreated the California bear on the outsides of both shoes, showing a skilled hand and a good eye. The Nike symbol on the heel tag is colored red and green to honor the colors of the flag.
I have mixed feelings about the brown fake fur used on the toe box, tongue and middle panel. Emmanuelabor wanted to add texture to the Cali Nike Dunks and the California bear seemed like a natural muse. While I love the look of the fake fur, I have a feeling that the Cali Nike Dunks would be ruined immediately after taking the first step outside. Even with this reservation, I think the Cali Nike Dunks are some of Emmanuelabor’s finest work.
Take a look at the second three-way collaboration in the last couple of days from Mita and New Balance. Last Friday, we showed you some images of their collaboration with 24 Karats and now they invited inspiration from Tokyo’s FRAT creative collective for this New Balance MT576S. From a distance, this just appears to be a nice clean white running model, but a closer look reveals some fresh style touches.
In addition to a lavender lining and speckled grey midsole this MT576S flaunts some incredible decorative aspects. The heel and tongue are graced with imagery of the “Shi-mei-nawa” rope pattern and a bamboo rake design to represent FRAT’s Ueno neighborhood. As if that wasn’t enough, these kicks are also constructed with glow-in-the-dark materials, as well as New Balance’s patented ROLL BAR, ENCAP and C-CAP technologies to ensure comfort and performance. On the heels of the wild turquoise/purple Quickstrike edition of the Nike Terminator that we showed you last week, comes a flashy new version that keeps up with the bolder recent rends. The Terminator continues to evolve with an attention-grabbing new spring colorway for the classic basketball model. This latest color scheme features some crisp solid white leather on the majority of the upper, but it’s the metallic silver panels and neon yellow laces that give these kicks their personality. Last month, we gave you a close-up look at the Akron edition Zoom LeBron VI that King James was seen wearing courtside at the NBA Slam Dunk Contest. The shoe is a tasteful homage to LeBron’s home town, using a navy/white/gold colorway to represent the city and the University of Akron. This Lebron VI features a white toe section and a navy upper scrawled with illustrated shout outs to LeBron’s childhood street and city. Everything seems to come together nicely, making this one of the freshest LeBron VI’s so far. Look for these to hit House of Hoops this Friday, March 13th. via Jordan-ugg.com.
So many colorways of the Air Max 95 have dropped over the years, but nothing seems to bring out its full potential quite like the classic black-to-grey gradient coloring. Back in October, we showed you a preview of two upcoming versions using this classic color scheme as their base, and now the Fresh Water colorway has arrived. Like the beloved Neon retro version that was recently re-released in Japan, this Air Max 95 features a black midsole with each layer getting lighter as they ascend on the upper. The only real difference with these is that they obviously swap the Neon Yellow for Fresh Water accents. The result is an incredible retro model with a nice new color twist. Look for these to hit stores next month, although select Nike accounts have received them already.
